Montia McIntosh, MSN, RN, NP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with many years of hands-on experience in the field of trauma and surgical nursing. Her excellent clinical skills are enhanced by her ability to connect with patients and their families, ensuring a high quality of care and open lines of communication between them and McKenzie Medical Associates team of healthcare professionals in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Ms. McIntosh studied at Broward College, where she earned an associate of science in nursing degree. She then earned both her bachelor of science and master of science in nursing degrees at Nova Southeastern University. For more than a decade, she served as a nurse practitioner at Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale, one of the 10 largest health systems in the United States. There, she gained valuable experience in open-heart, trauma, liver transplant, and surgical nursing, and also in rapid response and code blue team protocols.

Ms. McIntosh arrived at McKenzie Medical Associates in 2015 and since then has served as an advanced practice nurse specializing in internal medicine. She is an expert in the diagnosis of chronic illnesses, COPD, hypertension, diabetes, and asthma, and in a range of medical procedures, from intravenous therapy to suturing to electrocardiogram testing.

She is committed to treating patients via a holistic approach, following evidence-based guidelines alongside her clinical expertise and personal observation skills. She is also valued for her work mentoring and motivating young nurses.
